Positives from the Negative
Negativity bugs me, but I’d be lying if I told you recent world events don’t bother me.
The good news, Trump’s hubris and inability to admit his mistakes will catalyze a Republican loss in the November Midterm elections. This gives me hope. The Republican’s will lose control of the House. They may even lose a few seats in the Senate. Being a Independent, I'm not cheering for either side in our broken two party system. I want to see the transparency and boring governance.
As we get closer to the next elections more Republican’s are going to oppose Trump. After the election Trump won’t be able to operate with impunity. The House might begin doing its job. The Senate may become more reasoned. Trump may have to play with the other branches of government to get anything done and what get’s done maybe rational.
Trump’s ability to unilaterally act on his impulses will be curbed. It will be a start toward something better.
